Product Description

Zinc Phosphate Primer is an undercoat which acts as a preparatory layer that can be applied on materials before painting to ensure better adhesion to the surface, increased paint durability and provides an extra protection on the surface of the material on which it is applied. It offers excellent anti corrosion properties to protect the materials like steel and aluminium to accumulate rust. Zinc Phosphate Primer is slightly soluble in water and produce zinc and phosphate ions which acts as cathodic and anodic inhibitors respectively.  

 Single pack, air drying, high build, chlorinated rubber based anti- corrosive primer with zinc phosphate pigment.

Surface Preparation & Substrate Condition

• Surface must be free from oil, dirt, mill scale etc. the standard of surface shou be no less than St 3.
• Non-ferrous surface, sufficiently roughened with emery paper & dry and free from all contamination.
• Substrate temperature should be at least 3°C above dew point but not above 50°C

Mixing

If settling is observed in the drum, loosen the settled material with the help of hand stirrer followed by power driven stirrer for quick homogenous mixing.
